Sarah is the youngest of the five siblings in the Yoney/Pearson modern family. Spending her childhood in Easton, Connecticut allowed her the opportunity to dream about living out her Carrie Bradshaw fantasy in New York City. She was surrounded by artists since birth. Her mother was trained as a classical pianist and her brother is currently working in costume design in New York City. Sarah grew up in the theatre. She began performing in musicals, directed by her mother, as early as kindergarten due to the simple fact that her mother was unable to find a babysitter. It didn’t take long for fate to step in and fill in the blanks.

Sarah attended American University in Washington DC and received a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre. After graduating, she moved to New York City where she is currently pursuing her dreams. Sarah is an island girl at heart. Her second home is Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where many of her closest friends are from and currently live. Sarah is friends with many artists from Haiti, which helps her explore her own art from a different lens and offers a special perspective. She finds inspiration from Haitian music artists and from the island in general, which informs her creativity on a daily basis.

When Sarah isn’t performing, she’s likely lifting heavy weights at the gym, pretending she’s a contestant on The Great British Bake Off, watching The Lord of the Rings (her favorite movie), or binging reality tv with her best friends. She loves some Domino’s pizza and her go-to drink is Casamigos Reposado on the rocks (with sugar free red bull when she’s feeling spicy).

Sarah strongly believes that the best things in life leave you breathless. She feels very blessed to be able to pursue her passion of being a full time artist. Sarah believes that there is one reason we sing and that is to feel joy and to give joy.

“Life is on the wire.. the rest is just waiting.”
